I love poetry as a spontaneous expression, love short poetry, spoken word poetry, non-rhyming poetry, and poetry with Eastern influences. I also won't turn my nose up at the occasional more classic style poem.
I've been reading poetry, or, more accurately, having it read to me, since before I could even read myself. It sunk into my growing self, and has stayed there ever since, lodged somewhere near my heart and most definitely connected to my spirit. I may not usually be satisfied with my own poetic creations, but I enjoy writing poetry anyway, and am in love with reading other peoples poetry!
Here on this blog you'll find complete poems, and also bits of unfinished poems. Some polished, most virtually (or completely) unedited and unchanged from the first time they were scribbled in a notebook or quickly typed onto a blank screen. My goal isn't perfection. It's to take joy in and improve on what I consider to be a beautiful art form!
